Leave the Porchlight
Molly Bernstein, Libby Rosa, Nick Norman
January, 2025 - August, 2025
Leave the Porchlight is a three-person show of ceramics and painting from Molly Bernstein, Nick Norman and Libby Rosa.
Patience, warmth, and a drive to share is characteristic of these three and their work.
They are connected by their individual lightness and all the word play that comes from their materials. Works are installed across the gallery & home, embedded in kitchen walls, hanging from the ceiling, perched on shelves, resting on the floor.
The show title is a reference to the act of leaving a light on outside a house at night. A parent may be waiting up patiently for their kid to return, a friend waiting for another to arrive from out of town, or an indicator in the distance that there is safety & shelter.

ARTISTS
MOLLY BERNSTEIN is an artist and potter based in Philadelphia, PA where she makes drawings, objects, and a production line called Vessel Garden - inspired by the patterns and colors found inside her parent’s kite shop during her childhood at the beach in South Jersey.
Her most recent work pulls from her personal history as a potter while leaving function behind to flirt with the collective conception of memory and how we utilize our own memories and strangers' documentation of memory broadcast online in an attempt to make sense of loss.
Molly received a BFA from The University of the Arts in 2013 and has studied ceramics in different capacities at the Kyoei-Gama Ceramics School in Tokoname, Japan, The Chautauqua Institution, and recently completed a three year fellowship at Penland School of Craft in Western North Carolina.
